It’s an exciting and vibrant week at MidSun! Our school community is coming together through the arts, learning, and connection. From our talented students taking the stage in Shrek the Musical Jr., to families engaging in upcoming learning opportunities, and preparations underway for Band Camp—this is a wonderful reminder of the energy, creativity, and community spirit that make MidSun such a special place.

Band Camp Update
Thank you to our band families for completing the recent survey—87% participation is greatly appreciated! Your feedback supports meaningful and accessible planning.

Band camp forms and detailed information will be sent home Monday, April 13.

Parent Workshop – April 16 (RSVP Required)
We are pleased to offer a free parent/guardian workshop with Canadian author and educator Angela Murphy, in partnership with MidSun and Chaparral School Councils and supported through ABE grant funding.

Save the Date – Grade 9 Farewell- Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 – 11:30 AM

We look forward to celebrating our Grade 9 students as they prepare to transition to high school. The Grade 9 Farewell will be a school-based celebration recognizing their achievements and the completion of junior high.

Students are encouraged to wear smart, semi-formal attire (similar to a holiday or family celebration). Formal gowns or tuxedos are not required.

More details will be shared with families after spring break.

Reminder: Closed Campus Expectations

MidSun School operates as a closed campus, meaning students are not permitted to leave school grounds during the day without parent/guardian consent.

If your child lives close enough to go home for lunch, please email midsun@cbe.ab.ca  to provide permission for them to leave daily. All students must check out at the office before leaving the school.
