Grade 9 High School Transition Information
The Calgary Board of Education offers different programming options for High School, and our Student Service / Admin and Teaching Teams are here to help you out. Current Grade 9 students are automatically registered at their designated high school for the next school year based on the home address on file with the CBE. Guidance Counsellors and staff members from each designated high school have begun to work with students on the registration process.
High School Course Recommendations
Throughout February, your child’s core subject teachers will provide course recommendations for high school based on their achievement, demonstrated skills and the courses they believe will best support continued academic success.
Families will be informed of their child’s course recommendations. Additional information about high school registration, course selection and important timelines will be shared as it becomes available.

Students are designated to specific high schools based on the community of primary address we have on file at MidSun School.
