📄 New Alberta Requirement: Human Sexuality Instruction – Opt-In Consent Forms
As required under new Alberta legislation, families must now provide opt-in consent for student participation in Human Sexuality instruction.
Consent forms were sent home with students this week. Please review, complete, and return the form to the school as outlined.
If you have any questions about the form or the instruction, please contact our main office to speak with an administrator. We appreciate your attention to this required process.
🎶 Winter Band Concert – January 15 at 6:00 pm

🎵 Concert Time: 6:30–7:45 p.m.
📍 Location: MidSun School Gym
While hearing a few winter favourites in January may feel a little unexpected, our students have been working incredibly hard and are excited to finally share their music with you. After all, who says the festive season can’t be celebrated twice?
The concert program will include a variety of winter-themed and non-seasonal pieces. We are also excited to feature our school Jazz Band, which began just a few weeks ago and will be performing one or two selections after some additional rehearsals.
Grade 9 SALTs Sailing Trip fundraiser will take place during the Winter Band Concert on Thursday, January 15, 2026 - Grade 9 students will be selling cookies and bottled water before and during the concert. All proceeds will go toward supporting the SALTs Sailing Trip. Please note: Cash only

⛵ SALTs Sailing Trip Fundraisers - We have Three Events Happening in January
🦆 Duck Pool Fundraiser – Supporting the SALTS Sailing Trip
On Thursday, January 15 at lunch, students can try their luck at the Duck Pool Challenge! For $5, students receive three chances to aim ducks into the pool for a chance to win an Italian Subway sandwich.
🎟️ Tickets will be sold Tuesday and Wednesday in the atrium by our SALTS Leadership Team.
All proceeds support our upcoming SALTS sailing trip. Thanks for helping us make this experience possible!

Drama Production
We are doing Shrek the Musical Jr. as MidSun's 2026 production!
Ms. Zima will be announcing the cast in the New Year.
The show will be in April at Centennial High School.
Rehearsals for the school musical are Mondays and Wednesdays after school 4:00-5:30 pm starting in January and running until the production in April.
Drama Club is every Day 1 at lunch:
