From Administration

Wishing You a Wonderful Spring Break!

As we head into Spring Break, we wish all of our MidSun families a safe, restful, and enjoyable time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, March 30, which marks the start of Term 3.

April is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month at MidSun! We are especially looking forward to our school production of Shrek the Musical Jr., our upcoming Grade 9 Zoo field trips, and a Parent Evening Workshop with guest speaker Angela Murphy focused on well-being, emotional regulation, and connection.

Option Class Updates – Term 3

Students will begin their new option classes at the start of Term 3, following Spring Break. Updated schedules were distributed during homeroom on Friday, March 6.

All option change requests have now been completed, and schedules are finalized. As many classes are at capacity, no further schedule changes will be available.

Thank you for your understanding as we begin Term 3.

Looking Ahead to Term 3

Students return to classes on Monday, March 30 as we begin Term 3.

As you prepare for the return to school, this is a great time to check that your child is ready for learning. A few helpful reminders:

  • Chromebook in good working order (repairs completed if needed)
  • Pens, pencils, and basic school supplies restocked
  • Calculator (if required for math)
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear for the season

A little preparation now helps students start the term organized and ready to learn!

Reminder: Closed Campus Expectations

MidSun School operates as a closed campus, meaning students are not permitted to leave school grounds during the day without parent/guardian consent.

If your child lives close enough to go home for lunch, please email midsun@cbe.ab.ca   to provide permission for them to leave daily. All students must check out at the office before leaving the school.

Thank you for helping us ensure the safety and accountability of all students.
