Did You Know… Internet Safety Parent Session – Thursday, May 28 At MidSun School - 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Did you know that youth face increasing risks online, including exploitation tactics, unsafe digital interactions, and challenges navigating social media and online spaces safely? Families play an important role in helping children build awareness, digital responsibility, and safe online habits.
Parents/guardians from MidSun, Fish Creek, Chaparral, and Midnapore Schools are invited to attend an important Internet Safety & Awareness Presentation led by Corporal Heather Bangle (RCMP – ALERT, Internet Child Exploitation Unit). Corporal Bangle works with the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E.) Unit, focusing on investigating online child exploitation, supporting victim protection efforts, and educating communities about online safety risks facing youth today.
- Thursday, May 28
- 6:00 – 8:00 PM
- MidSun School Gym
This session (approximately 1.5–2 hours) will provide valuable information on online safety, current risks, prevention strategies, and how families can support children in today’s digital world. Time for questions will also be included.
We encourage families to attend this important and informative evening.
